Early September has seen an important number of high-level events pushing for more India-EU cooperation in Solar Energy. ESMC has been heavily involved: Starting with Renewable Energy E-Expo 2nd and 3rd of September with a key note by ESMC Secretary General and participation in several high level panels together with our Co-Chair Prof. Eicke Weber. Thanks to our partners from Cleantech Business Club we had the chance to exchange with our Indian Partners and agreed that we need to push much more for a India-EU cooperation and that we need to have a more holistic approach on the Energy topic, including storage and innovative distribution solutions.
A second event with India leading has been the First World Solar Technology Summit co-hosted by ESMC-friend Philippe Malbranche, Programme Director at ISA, the International Solar Alliance,
The session “VISION 2030 AND BEYOND” had been moderated by ESMC Co-chair Gaetan Masson with an impressive keynote by Prof. Christian Breyer from Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland (LUT). A second session that day had been moderated by our co-chair Prof. Eicke Weber, “DISRUPTIVE SOLAR TECHNOLOGIES” bringing together some of the finest examples of European Solar Manufacturing: Nexwafe, Meyer-Burger and Oxford PV. Impressive as well the contribution of EU-commissioner Kadri Simpson at this event a quote and link in the EU-news.
