Continuity and strong signals for the further development of the European Solar Industry: this is what the ESMC board of directors, elected by the members of the manufacturers’ association at their Annual General Meeting on March 10, 2025, stands for. The co-chair Carsten Rohr, Chief Commercial Officer of NorSun, was confirmed in office. The ESMC members warmly welcomed Laura Sartore, Managing Director of EcoProgetti, as the new Vice-Chair. She will represent the interests of manufacturers of production machines for the photovoltaic industry even more strongly in the future.
The general assembly also elected Marc Rechter, CEO of the Dutch solar company MCPV, as a new member of the board.
The Annual General Meeting was held in Frankfurt on the fringes of the PVCelltech industry conference. Despite the strikes at all German airports, a large number of the more than 70 members travelled to the event in person, with many more taking part digitally.
In the board elections, the association members confirmed the previous board members Thomas Rührlinger (Fronius), Chris Case (OxfordPV), Peter Fath (RCT Solutions), Ernst Gockel (Meyer Burger) and Davor Sutija (NexWafe). They will continue to working with the board members who were elected already in 2024: Christian Westermeier (Wacker Chemie), Gaëtan Masson (Becquerel Institute), Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers (HoloSolis), Andreas Bett (Fraunhofer ISE), Cosimo Geraldi (3Sun), Pierre-Jean Ribeyron (CEA LITEN) and Stefan Rinck (Singulus Technologies).
